Private Investigators across the country have the opportunity to add a new gadget into their investigatory arsenal. The new 8GB spy camera-watch by SpyGadgets is just the tool that investigators need to make their jobs a little easier.
It is a very sporty but otherwise ordinary looking watch that can be worn with just about any outfit and for any occasion without being conspicuous. It features internal storage so there is no need for a memory card, which makes it easy to create and store video documentation. But that is only the beginning of the many advantages (and some disadvantages) of this handy investigations tool.
The camera feature of the watch captures both still and video images with good resolution. It records video at 30 frames per second and in AVI format with 1600 x 1200 resolution. The high definition camera features 1280 x 960 resolution and creates photos in JPEG format while audio is recorded as a WAV file. Easy to use buttons around the outer edge of the watch allow for single-press still photo taking and single-press video start/stop recording. It also features a USB 2.0 port.
Some reviews of the SpyGadgets camera watch, however, have noted a few drawbacks. First, the video, while generating solid resolution, tends to lag and skip during playback. Also, the audio has been described as “less than quality” and is often garbled and distorted.
Nevertheless, these problems are manageable and don’t negate the watch’s plethora of advantages. And perhaps the most attractive feature is the price. The SpyGadgets retails for about US $20.00 and can be purchased on popular websites like Amazon. Oh, and did we mention it’s waterproof?
